Decipher The Doodle Contest #7 Winners

Decipher The Doodle Contest #7 Winners!

The Answer: According to the pint sized artist this is a picture of a little girl walking through the woods with a picnic basket. Along comes a monster who tries to scare her and steal one of her very favorite chocolate chip cookies. The little girl is brave and tells the monster to be nice. This takes the monster by surprise. The Monster is sorry. The little girl gives the monster a cookie. This makes the monster happy. The little girl and monster are now friends. The little girl snacks on a cookie as she heads home.

The Most Correct Answer: The girl in the dress encountered upon an eyeball monster harassing/mugging the girl in the shirt, trying to steal her cookie.

In a moment of quick-thinking, the girl in the dress reveals an eyeball monster friend from within the depths of her purse (to distract the would-be mugger), along with a second cookie for herself.

The two girls are able to evade the eyeball monster with their cookies in-tact.

Congratulations! You really got in the head of this pint sized artist. You win a Hip Hip Array t-shirt.

The Funniest Answer:

While at first glance it may appear that Little Miss Blondie is on a shopping trip (note the purse in the left hand), upon further examination, it is clear we are being told a cautionary tale about encounters with germs and the importance of hand washing. A bucket (source of water for hand washing- much too hard to draw a sink!) is seen in every picture. When the girl encounters the germ (pink cyclops) she is taken off guard! But then she remembers her handy-dandy hand washing bucket, washes the germs off her hands. The germ gives a look of defeat and the girl goes off into the sunset *not pictured* with her hand washing bucket) to live happily ever after.

Congratulations!You win a Mmm…. pi t-shirt.

Thank you to everyone who participated.  We hope you had as much fun as we did.  If you didn’t win don’t worry!  We will be back with another Decipher The Doodle Contest in a few weeks.

Decipher The Doodle Contest #6 Winners

Decipher The Doodle Contest #6 Winners!

The Answer: According to the pint sized artists this is a picture of my 4-year-old daughter hitting a pinata at a party.  Her hair is in a ponytail.  She is happily swinging a stick at the hanging pinata.

The written letters are the work of my 3-year-old son.  He is attempting to spell the word “Pinata Party.”

This work is a definite collaborative effort between the two youngsters.  The artists are trying to convey their want, nay need, for a pinata filled with candy and toys.  Apparently, everyday is a good day to beat something with a stick until it gives you toys and candy.

The Most Correct Answer: This was a hard one.  Again, no one really came up with the most correct answer.  So, we are going to give t-shirts to the two funniest answers instead.

The Funniest Answer:

It’s Marge Simpson flipping Homer the bird for not liking that she let her hair down.

- dwnbndtrn

Congratulations! You win a Science vs. Magic T-shirt.

The Other Funniest Answer:

Blueberry Muffin from Strawberry Shortcake about to a) comb her hair, b) smack Strawberry Shortcake, or c) let a genie out of a big-ass frying pan.

- idahogrrl

This answer is especially fitting since the 4-year-old loves, loves, loves Strawberry Shortcake.

Congratulations! You win a Hip Hip Array T-shirt.

Thank you to everyone who participated.  We hope you had as much fun as we did.  If you didn’t win don’t worry!  We will be back with another Decipher The Doodle Contest in a few weeks.

Decipher The Doodle Contest #5 Winners!

Posted by Tiffany in Decipher The Doodle on May 25, 2011 at 4:27 pm

Decipher The Doodle Contest #5 Winners!

The Answer: According to the pint sized artist this is a picture of  his Dad and his baby sister (AKA The Baby).  It is a beautiful day.  Mr. Sun is out.   There is a rainbow and a blue sky.  The letters on the right are the artist’s signature. Daddy is the bigger figure.  Daddy is sad because The Baby spilled his coffee.  The Baby is the smaller figure.  The Baby is happy because she spilled Daddy’s coffee.  The artist thinks the drawing is hilarious!

This not a depiction of an actual event.  This is just how the 3-year-old artist views the family dynamic.

The Most Correct Answer: This was a hard one.  No one really came up with the most correct answer.  So, we are going to give t-shirts to the two funniest answers instead.

The Funniest Answer:

The pic is actually flipped horizontally- and is an illustration to this:

It was raining quite hard, but the sun was still sunny

I saw a rainbow and thought it was funny

Then blue lighting came down and hit Dad in the eye

And he shouted  ”scha!” – but I don’t know why

- Maxxx

Congratulations!  You win a I Heart 8 Bit Video Games T-shirt.

The Other Funniest Answer:

This appears to be Thor and his brother Loki, Moments after crossing the Rainbow bridge.  They have just returned to the bright sunshine of Asgard after leaving behind the icy realm of Jotunheim.  Loki is the one smiling, knowing his devious plans are coming to fruition.  Thor is frowning because while leaving Jotunheim he spied the vulgar graffiti the frost giants had wrote about him in their native language, concerning him and where they suggest they store his might hammer, Mjolnir.

- Chad Huskey

Congratulations!  You win a Mosaic Skull T-shirt.

Thank you to everyone who participated.  We hope you had as much fun as we did.  If you didn’t win don’t worry!  We will be back with another Decipher The Doodle Contest in a few weeks.

Decipher The Doodle Contest #4 Winners!

Posted by Tiffany in Decipher The Doodle on April 4, 2011 at 5:39 pm

Decipher The Doodle Contest #4 Winners!

The Answer: According the pint sized artist this is a picture of the Easter Bunny (not bunnies).  In the first drawing the Easter Bunny is sad because the giant Easter egg is so heavy.  In the second drawing he is happy because he has discovered he can roll  giant Easter eggs.  Rolling the egg is so much easier than carrying the egg.

My Wrong Answer: We need to be on the look out for miniature zombie bunnies delivering rotten Easter Eggs.

Congratulations! I win The Stupid Mommy, How Could You Not See The Answer Award.  This comes with a look of disdain from my beautiful 4-year-old.

The Most Correct Answer: The Easter Bunny rolling an egg too big to carry.  – smurfie

Congratulations! You win the I Heart 8 Bit Video Games T-shirt.

The Funniest Answer:

Your 4-year old obviously has a well developed palate, as we both share the same distaste for Maraschino cherries! Therefore, I can tell you what she has depicted here… the portrayal is of herself as an innocent Easter bunny who has happily received a chocolate with all good graces.  But the chocolate has a cherry filling!  Yuck!! Luckily, in the distance we see a festive doppelganger who is stealing away the gross cherry center! Silly doppelganger! But now nobody’s insulted, and everyone is happily left with their best part of the chocolate! Yay! See, this story even has a happy ending! Ha! – Bt

Congratulations! You win a Science vs. Magic T-shirt.

Oh, by the way the 4-year-old loves maraschino cherries more than anything! She also loves to say, “that’s so silly.”

Thank you to everyone who participated. We hope you had as much fun as we did. If you didn’t win don’t worry! We will be back with another Decipher The Doodle Contest in a few weeks.  Hopefully next time we will remember to name the file something a little less obvious.

We will award 2 prizes. One for the most correct answer and one for the funniest but ultimately wrong answer. Please leave your guess in the comment section. One guess per comment, but you are welcome to enter as many as you would like. Important: Please choose your own prize from the NeatoShop. You can pick any one item in stock, $25 or less. Write your item selection along with your guess, or you forfeit the prize, mmkay? Good luck!

Update: The contest is now over. Congratulations to our winners.  The winner for most correct answer is kantoboy. The winner for funniest is  manders for this entry:

Yeah, so my dad was carrying our dog and few house plants out to the yard to do their “business” when an alien came up and using his blue light special thingy majig, it knocked out all dad’s teeth except one which sent fido and the plants flying into the air and turning one plant into an evil heat seeking device. My dad was pretty happy about though…..

The real answer is: A picture of the artist, her brother, and their cat.  They are taking care of the garden.  The cat is on top of the slide. The kids only have one tooth because they are in the process of loosing their baby teeth (she is obsessed with losing her baby teeth). The rectangle is her brother’s favorite blanket. The green wavy stuff is grass.

Thanks everyone for playing! We hope you had fun! Please remember when you play to put your prize choice  in the comment section as well.

Hello Neatoramanauts and welcome to our second Decipher The Doodle Contest.  This doodle was again created by my almost-4-year old daughter.  I dare you to delve into the mind of this pint-sized artist and tell me what her doodle means.

Update: The contest is now over. Congratulations to our winners.  The winner for most correct answer is lolamouse.  The winner for funniest is xela22 for this entry:

Yes, the turtle may have unleashed a toxic cloud upon us all. Yes he may have opened up a rift into another dimension. and Yes, he stole my necklace. But the important thing was that he styled my hair just the way i like it.

The real answer is: A picture of Nan and Papa’s pet turtle Darwina (the turtle’s name was Darwin till she laid eggs one day and they realized he was a she).  The green circle is Nan and Papa’s pool where Darwina lives. (Yes, they have a turtle who lives in their swimming pool.  What?  Is this weird or something?) The blue stuff is Darwina’s food.  The waving stick figure is my daughter.

Thanks everyone for playing! We hope you had fun!

Decipher The Doodle Contest #1

Posted by Tiffany in Decipher The Doodle on July 14, 2010 at 1:23 am

Hello Neatoramanauts and welcome to our very first Decipher The Doodle Contest.  This doodle was created by my almost-4-year old daughter.  I dare you to delve into the mind of this pint-sized artist and tell me what her doodle means.

Good luck!

Oh, and yes – I do know what the doodle means. Maddy explained it to me in great, great detail. I can’t believe I was so stupid as not to see it in the first place. Stupid Mommy!

Update 7/15/10: Contest time is up! Congratulations to WrexLabs  for coming up with the closest answer and daikoneklectik for the funniest but ultimately wrong answer: Silly Mommy! It means “Don’t attempt to limbo when fireballs are forming under the pole.” Even tho you’re wearing your vest that shoots blue laser beams from your chest, it’s very dangerous considering the circumstances.

The real answer is: No little brothers playing with my jewelery! It is a sign she made to tape on her door after her little brother went intentionally went into her jewelery box just to annoy her.

Thank you everyone for participating. We hope you had as much fun with this contest as we did.
