Brilliant 2-Year Old Thief Picks a Lock to Steal His Sister's Toys

Joann Moser's 8-year old daughter insisted that her 2-year old brother was sneaking into her room at night to take her toys. "Just lock the door." That's not enough if you have a toddler who knows how to pick a lock and hide the evidence of his crime before escaping.

Heh, that kid is pretty smooth. Too bad he's a smooth criminal. Usually interior doorknobs don't have conventional tumbler locks. Just a simple insert and twist of a small straight screwdriver is all they need to unlock from the outside.

Wait till he's three years old. He'd have acquired surveillance avoidance technique by then, and mom wouldn't be able to covertly film his actions.

I have to assume that he saw somebody open that lock & is repeating what he saw.

But boy, it's amazing to see how deviously he goes about his break in.

He even knows enough to hide the nail clippers BEFORE he goes into the room. I wonder if he thought to re-lock the door after the heist?

Mom & dad have their hands full with this kid, that's for sure. ha
