Joss Whedon writes hit television shows, directs blockbuster films and apparently he’s also one hell of a singer.
Watch him belt out a tune in an episode of This American Life from 2010, a tune from Commentary! The Musical, which originally appeared on the DVD edition of Doctor Horrible’s Sing-Along. It’s pure geeky musical love, don’t hate!

And if Norman ever starts his own canine bike gang he will truly be the leader of the pack.

Parry Gripp took a minute of footage from a nature documentary and turned it into a music video for a song about a pathetically lazy harp seal. The harp seal is utterly devoid of ambition or material possessions. But strangely, women find him attractive.

Yeah, that’s a clever dog! However, I have a cat that turns on the laundry room light just for the fun of it, because she likes playing with the dangling chain. But whatever possessed this guy to store sock puppets on his ceiling fan blades? Was it specifically to train the dog to turn the fan on? I bet he has the cleanest fan blades in town! -via Arbroath
Warning: this video is frightening and may induce vertigo. Last Tuesday, 19-year-old photographer Vitaly Raskalov and two friends climbed the Zolotoy Rog Bridge in Vladivostok, Russia. The next day, they climbed the even higher Russky Island Bridge. They may have never been caught if they hadn’t posted pictures and video on the internet, but caught they were, and were fined 300 rubles each. That’s about ten dollars US, so I hope they’ve learned their lesson. Neither of the bridges are open to the public yet. Link -via Cynical-C

It no doubt took a lot of time and effort to create a stop-motion video game out of nothing but Post-It notes, but the animators at prestigious French engineering school École nationale supérieure des mines de Saint-Étienne proved that their dedication to the project was certainly worth the time investment.

There’s a secret level in Blizzard’s newest action RPG Diablo III that seems mighty out of place when compared to the rest of the game.
It’s called Whimsyshire, and it’s full of teddy bears, unicorns, rainbows and a color palette straight out of My Little Pony.
It’s the kind of place where your character can take a break from all those undead hordes and stagnant caves, even if the killing doesn’t stop at the end of the rainbow.

Poor guy, he just wants to show his new friend where he lives, but either his friend refuses to come inside or his owners refuse to let his friend in. Whatever the reason, it’s very frustrating for the little guy.
This strange yet stylish animated short is entitled Ean’s Day, and it stars a cube headed fellow who…well…does stuff and things are all trippy and stuff.
It’s a weird yet fun waste of three and a half minutes of your life, if you’re into odd bits of animated nonsense.
It’s free to try, and if you like it keep it as a free gift and watch it FOREVER!

If you’ve ever played the video games in the Professor Layton series then you know that the one thing these games are missing is a suitably cerebral soundtrack score.
The folks at Gamological Society agreed, so they’ve created an alternate soundtrack for the games by using music composed by Yann Tierson.
It’s just the kind of soundtrack you need to keep those mental juices flowing, as you try to puzzle your way through the often infuriating games in the Professor Layton series.
Patton Oswalt stars as one of the original internet trolls in this hilarious comedy short. He’s hoofed, hairy and misunderstood-get to know one of the web’s most notorious figures, and you’ll find that he’s not such a bad guy after all!

Hollywood may have movie stars home tours but 37-year-old Czech translator Petr Sourek has something even better: a tour of the homes of the corrupt Rich and Infamous!
"In the corruption segment, the Czech Republic has a lot to offer to both local and foreign visitors.
"The local corruption environment is extremely stable with moderate growth," CorruptTour says dryly on its website.
Their tour guide, wearing a funny orange hat and a waistcoat, is impossible to miss as he stands next to a black mini-bus with 26 tourists eager to embark on an "ornithological safari tour" of Prague's upscale "nests".
Resembling a Hollywood homes-of-the-stars circuit, this tour targets the residences of lobbyists and rich businessmen caught up in dodgy deals - "nesting birds", in the guide's words.

How do you deal with having outside cats when you live in an upstairs apartment? Well, you could teach your cats to just wait outside your lobby for you to get home…or you could train them to grab on tightly to a chair and make a budget kitty elevator. It might not be as practical, but it sure is cooler.

As a professional blogger, it's embarrassing to be this late in finding out about the Lamborghini crash that went viral. But my ego isn't as hurt as that of the driver of the car, that's fo' sho':
“He’s gonna fly,” one of the passengers predicted as they waited at the light. Sure, if by “fly” you mean “fly out of control”. The $225,000 car peeled out after the traffic light turned green and lost control while rounding the corner onto Wheeling Road, veering into oncoming traffic, where it came to rest wedged between two (laughably inferior) cars. [...]
The Gallardo’s driver, William Whitaker, told police he “just lost it” as he turned the corner. Whitaker was issued a citation for “failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident.”
When CBS Chicago went to question Whitaker about the accident, reporter Brad Edwards asked him simply, “What happened?” Whitaker, speaking through the call box at his gated community in Hawthorn Woods, Ill., could only muster a long sigh before saying he expected a better question from the journalist.
