200 Dropped Wallets

(YouTube link)

After Mark Rober (previously at Neatorama) lost his wallet and never got it back. The experience inspired him to try an experiment: he dropped 200 wallets in different cities to see how many were returned, and which city had the highest ratio of returned wallets. People turned out to be more honest and helpful than he expected. -via Tastefully Offensive

Walking home from work one day... and there was a wallet lying beside a fireplug at a busy intersection. So, I picked it up and carried it across the street, where I paused to look inside. And then I spotted the video crew from Ryerson Polytech filming the people picking up the wallet. I tossed it down and stalked off, never even learning what was inside. A few days later, saw myself on TV as part of a statistical study. Hmph!
