Krusty tried to expand his clowny repertoire by including themes and acts that adults would find more entertaining, so he looked to history's most famous clowns for inspiration. Bozo was too chipper, Ronald always smelled like french fries, and Emmett Kelly didn't have a buck to his name. But then Krusty came across pictures of Pennywise and he knew that was the look that would save his act. Soon Krusty was having his teeth filed down into points, and he started shooting remote sketches from the sewer, and before he knew it The Krusty the Klown Show had a new fanbase- psychotic gore hounds and horror movie fans!
