Westworld is Jurassic Park (or vice versa)

Westworld was a 1973 movie written and directed by Michael Crichton. In 2016 it became a TV series on HBO. Jurassic Park was a 1993 movie based on the 1990 novel of the same name by Michael Crichton. There appears to be quite a few similarities between the two. The TV series has more NSFW language than the movie, and so does this video.

Westworld had a sequel and a TV spinoff back in the 1970s, so it's not surprising that Crichton was inspired to give the same treatment to dinosaurs quite a few years later. He has written many stories, with a variety of plots. My favorite was the 1969 novel The Andromeda Strain. It would be pretty hard to design an amusement park around an infectious space microbe. -via The Mary Sue
