Anxiety can play tricks on your mind, twisting all incoming information to help perpetuate fear and keep you stressed out, feeding the anxiety monsters lurking within you.

But you can battle these monsters by taking what people say at surface value instead of trying to find hidden meanings in their words.

For instance- when somebody offers facts and figures to put you at ease about your trip just thank them and travel on, or else people are liable to start offering up names of psychiatrists you should see.

Anxiety can be hard to overcome, and it seems the smarter you are the more your anxious mind wants to quantify all of your fears so they become more real.

But when your anxious brain starts doing the math on one in a million odds it's probably time to find a new hobby- like accounting.
