24 Ways The Jungle Book and The Lion King Are The Same Movie

I haven’t seen the 2016 version of The Jungle Book, but I heard that it was more faithful to Rudyard Kipling’s writings than the 1967 animated film was. And now that I’ve seen this video from Couch Tomato, maybe I don’t need to see it at all! The live action/CGI remake appears to have more in common with the 1994 movie The Lion King.

Now I wonder: how many of the elements in The Lion King were actually taken from Rudyard Kipling’s writings? And how many elements of Kimba the White Lion were taken from Kipling? And when will we see another Disney movie that we can compare to so many other stories? -via Geeks Are Sexy
