Many colleges have large, old, stone buildings that have been there for a long time -long enough to be the site of some unsavory events, like murder, war, slavery, suicide, imprisonment, mental illness, abandonment, and more. Do these events leave their imprint on the places they happen? Some folks think so. Or it may be that the haunting stories are passed down from class to class and prompt people to see things that aren’t there, because fear is contagious.
