Cartoons for kids are carefully edited and reviewed to make sure mature content doesn’t make it on the air, but sometimes the censors miss something inappropriate, causing a cartoon crapstorm to kick up on the interwebs.
Recently an episode of Nickelodeon’s Oggy and the Cockroaches aired containing a different kind of easter egg- this image of a topless cartoon character hanging on the wall in the background:

The episode was immediately pulled from circulation, and now some smutty Nicktoon animator has some 'splainin' to do!

Also, I personally think that IF it actually was my kid pointing this out, what a wonderful, & perfect, time to have a basic & scientifically accurate anatomy lesson. Kids should be able to properly use "penis", "vagina", "breasts", etc... it creates kids that are okay with their bodies, who are less uptight, & who will be less curious later on when "I'll show you mine if you show me yours" leads to a school suspension.

Okay, I saw the uncensored pic & while I was able to recognize them as boobs, they also kinda looked like cartoony bug eyes. Leading me to belive that, much like the penis castle in the original Little Mermaid vhs cover, uptight helicopter Mom saw it & got offended & not that the kid pointed it out & forced the parents to give a basic anatomy lesson. If you are so uptight about cartoon boobs, maybe you should be more worried about why your kid is able to recognize genitalia at 30 frames per second.

When my 8 year old daughter was 6 she thought all babies were born C section because her little brothers were delivered that way. When I explained to her how she was born she swore right then and there she was never getting married and never having kids. Lol. She still says that. Poor kid, I've already traumatized her.

I think there's a difference between your kids knowing about their body's anatomy (and that of the opposite sex) and having them see pictures (drawn or not) displaying it like this. Im with you Elizabeth Jones, when I let my child watch a cartoon I don't want to worry about them learning about anatomy displayed in such a way. Its my job to teach them about those things in an appropriate way so that they understand that their body and other's bodies needed to be treated with respect, not just as sexual objects for people to ogle over. Sex is natural and not anything to be ashamed of but a child's brain is not mature enough to understand all that goes into sex and is involved with sex. My kids are young still and I have explained enough to satisfy their curiosity. And we'll build from that when they have questions and when they mature a little more. If that makes me a prude then so be it. I wear the title proudly.
