The TV series Game of Thrones has a huge ensemble cast that changes as the core characters die off and new characters are introduced. The producers wanted to avoid casting any big name stars in order to keep the characters believable (Sean Bean was pretty well-known, but he was already famous for dying in his roles). I will always remember Charles Dance (Tywin Lannister) as the villain in the Last Action Hero, the one with the glass eyeball. In fact, I recognized him when I first saw him in GoT.
