Map of American Stereotypes

We all have our preconceived notions about people who come from the various states of the U.S., but do people from other countries? Buzzfeed asked the staff of its UK office what comes to mind when they think of various American states and plotted the answers on a map. This map only has the most common; there are closer views at the link in which you can see more of them. For example, here Kentucky only has “fried chicken.” On the expanded map, you can see horse racing, whiskey, farms, and racists. I guess the British read American blog posts enough to catch those opinions we throw at each other.
