Cormac McCarthy’s The Road: A Picture Book

The Road is a horrifying post-apocalyptic novel by Cormac McCarthy. It won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 2007. It kept me up at night when I read it. So maybe it would be a great bedtime story for kids! Jerry Puryear turned The Road into a picture book. You can see photos of it at his blog, as well as his children’s versions of Michael Chabon’s Wonder Boys, Jonathan Frazen’s The Corrections and Donna Tart’s The Goldfinch.

P.S. I just had a great merchandising idea: compose a cookbook inspired by The Road.
