35-year old Chandre Oraon works as a tea picker in West Bengal, India. Since childhood, he’s had a patch of hair growing out of his lower back. Doctors think that his tail is a form of spinal bifida. It’s now over a foot long.

The tail has caused him hardship in the past. Children use to tease him and his wife open states that she married him only because she had no choice.

But maybe that will change. Some people think that Oraon’s tail is a sign that he is an incarnation of Hanuman, the Hindu god that takes the form of a monkey. They often travel great distances to receive his blessings.

You can watch a news video about him here.
