Ice Skating Knit Squid Win Gold Medals

Yarnbombers Lorna Witt and Jill Witt (previously at Neatorama) knitted an entire window display centered around the Winter Games at Sochi. These lovely figure skating squid show off their moves (and their medals), while a trio of crocheted matryoshka dolls judge their performance. It's all tens! Of course, it helps when you've got multiple arms for balance.

Knitted snowflakes stand in for the copyright-protected rings in this display. There are plenty more details in the art installation, which is in the window at Nine Rubies yarn shop in San Mateo, California. See more pictures at Knits for Life, with design details and links to patterns if you want to try some of these yourself! -Thanks, Lorna!
