Would You Do The 'Roo?

Slater's 50/50, home of the legendary 100% bacon 'Merica burger, has done it again with their newest burger of the month. This time you won't be overloaded with bacon, instead, it's made of 50% bacon, 50% kangaroo meat, brie cheese, bacon slices, huckleberry ketchup and macadamia ricotta.

I used to cook Roo burgers at a cafe I worked at in Melbourne! They're delicious. Don't need the bacon in it.. just some of the rendered fat from the roo tails to keep them nice and moist. They sell them at the local big food market here in Melbourne too. And for the record, we eat a lot of Kangaroo.. its not mysterious anymore

Roo is delish. One of the best meals I ever had was at a restaurant in London. We called it Duck & Jump; Duck starter with Kangaroo entree. Yum!
