Woman Ran Over Husband for Not Voting

We all know that voting is important, but who knew that failing to vote could (almost) cost your life?

Upset that her presidential candidate did not win the election, a 28-year-old Arizona woman blamed her husband for not voting and ran him over with the family car:

Holly Solomon, 28, was arrested after running over husband Daniel Solomon following a wild chase that left him pinned underneath the vehicle. [...]

Police said Daniel Solomon told them his wife became angry over his "lack of voter participation" in last Tuesday's presidential election and believed her family would face hardship as a result of Obama winning another term.

Witnesses reported the argument broke out on Saturday morning in a parking lot and escalated. Mrs Solomon then chased her husband around the lot with the car, yelling at him as he tried to hide behind a light pole, police said. He was struck after attempting to flee to a nearby street.

how can someone be so brainwashed!? Aside from the fact that on presidential election day you're not actually voting for president, it doesn't matter who wins, because so long as the health of the economy dictates policy rather than the wants and needs of the people nothing will ever change. btw. I'm talking about Republicans AND Democrats

What hardships, exactly, were they going to face under Obama? The primary difference, it seems to me, between Obama and Romney was their stance on taxation of the rich. And if the rich face "hardships" due to taxation, seriously, who do they think they are? What species? Your time is still infinitely more valuable in terms of money then anyone else, so please, shut up.

But to get back to my question; what hardships? I know being pissed about a person's lack of voting is not a defense for running them down with their car, so I hope he divorces her and she goes to jail, or a psych ward, but can we please come together and say enough with this bullshit?

Not sure which is worse - her complete failure to understand the electorate (her candidate won Arizona handily) or the way she acted on her ignorance. I am, however, endlessly amused by the knowledge that, once convicted for the felony, she'll be losing her own right to vote.
