Homemade Wooden Ferris Wheel

(Video Link

In the absence of electrical power, this is a perfectly acceptable substitute for an amusement park ride. Allegedly this video shows a wooden ferris wheel in Nepal. It's powered by one man pushing it with his feet.

Holy cow! The other day, I was discussing having made a a homemade Ferris wheel with my kids and they could not conceive what it looked like. Our's was powered by a massive crank and some gears, but it worked well enough to seat four. I am so glad to see this video so that I can better explain it to them.
