The Saga of Evelyn Nesbit

Evelyn Nesbit was a teenager who became a superstar model in the Victorian era. She was seduced and/or raped by at least two wealthy and famous men who were old enough to be her father or even grandfather. She married one of them, who was so insanely jealous of the other that he shot the guy dead. That led to a "trial of the century" in 1907. The title of the article is Shelved Dolls: Evelyn Nesbit – The Victorian Courtney Stodden? However, if you don't know who Courtney Stodden is, it will not affect your understanding of the tale of Evelyn Nesbit at all. Contains one nude painting. Link

I too can't stand the click through multiple pages internet phenomenon. Same shite at "list" articles that make you click through top 10's and top 25's. Can't they just make it one page, one load, one scroll? Just place ad after ad all along down the page? Nobody clicks on the damn things anyways. But I digress.

I found the 12 "page" article irksome, too... enough to comment here on it, but I know it's not Neatorama's fault. It's just an item of note about a link. Perhaps AC didn't intend to offend.

A _twelve_ part article? Perhaps if the final content is roughly 300 printed pages, maybe, but not when I can read the content faster than my phone can load the load next one.

Not just a FAIL, but a hilariously pathetic FAIL. Sure, your advertisers will believe you've got twelve times the visitors...

The story of Evelyn Nesbit, Harry Thaw and Stanford White was certainly bizarre. Hardly surprising that it still fascinates people after more than a century.
