Since you pay for Netflix by the month, how low can you bring the price-per-movie down by watching as many as you can? Mark Malkoff tried to find out, by devoting a month to the experiment. I love Netflix's Instant selection. It's gotten me into a lot more subtitled movies that I wouldn't have chosen if I had to piece meal titles through the mail. Also, if a movie is bad, I stop watching and move to the next with zero guilt/remorse.
I've very very rarely gotten that error message marcus and my husband and I watch the instant contant almost every day (mostly cable tv shows since we don't have cable). Usually the times when it stops playing is b/c our internet is going wonky for whatever reason. Anywho, love Netflix! Just wish they would get even more cable tv shows on there :D

I've been streaming for almost a year - and besides occasional sloppy resolution issues, I've very rarely been shut out. I'm guessing it may be your Internet Provider.
The content selection is mid-level - but 8 bucks a month? You can't beat that, especially when cable companies charge $60 for the "basic" package, and force you to watch commercials. Netflix is a great deal.
But how many times did he get the error message about a problem downloading this content (but try again later)? On our network, it pops up about half of the time. I figured they use it to restrict usage to a certain number of movies or shows per day.
It's always strange to me when people disparage Netflix Instant's selection. That list is full of truly amazing classics (as well as truly enjoyable clunkers).
