A Hand on His Shoulder

You don't see a tattoo this personal and meaningful very often. Redditor plazma15's father died last year. When the funeral home offered to make a thumbprint for the family, he asked for an entire hand print. This past weekend, he had his father's hand print inked on his shoulder permanently. Link

A couple years back, a friend of mine got a tattoo of "I love you" written in her late mother's handwriting. Even those of us who weren't tat-crazy teared up over that one.

it's too much. it feels right just when he passed away. but not for your whole life. (or would you remove it later?) for me there's a place in my heart where i can think of people i miss. i don't need them on my skin - showing off my admiration.
