Who Erased The Martian Boulder Tracks?

All right. Which one of you little green men of Mars did this?

The boulder left a visible track in the Martian regolith big enough to be spotted by MRO. But just one Martian year later, the tracks are gone, erased from existence.

“This is most likely due to the fine bright dust that is transported in the atmosphere falling down and re-covering the dark markings,” wrote Ross A. Beyer on the HiRISE site.

And just what do you think those sneaky Martians are trying to hide?

The Martians travel in single file (much as the sand people) to conceal their numbers. As an added measure, the last in the line is to wipe the prints clean, which, in this case, was Gorham.

He was, however, distracted by Mikaim, next to the last in line. He had been thinking about how to approach her for the longest time, and this was it.

In his distracted state, he neglected the added measure of security and it was caught on camera. A special security detail went out to correct the oversight.

As for Gorham and Mikaim, like all good love stories, it worked out. However, in the future, Gorham is not given the prestigious position of last in line. Instead, it goes to Mikaim.
