Who Said It- Mitt Romney Or Mr. Burns?

Despite the fact that they look nothing alike (yet), Mitt Romney and Mr. Burns sure have a lot in common, especially when it comes to hilariously bad quotes.

Have fun testing yourself with this quiz created by MAD magazine online, aside from the few famous Mitt quotes it's way harder than you think, and no peeking!

Having once been Mormon, I have been paying particularly close attention to Romney. I'm not going to vote for him, but as with many quotes, these have been taken out of context to make him look extreme. Plus the other Republicans are pushing him further and further right as he has to compete with Wackos like Santorum. He's capable of being liberal, I mean the dude did legalize gay marriage in MA!

No peeking when the answers are at the bottom of the picture?

I'm not in the USA, and I feel that there are a lot more left of center -favoured posts here than right of center posts. The lefty ones are more condescending and mocking than the righty ones.

That's just my observation. I really get bored quickly with the whole left/right thing. Both sides need to get a life.

PS: I alerted Akismet about this via their contact form, they have an option specifically for this!
I seriously doubt it is going to do any good, but if they do remove me from the list I will change my nick to "Akismet = God". ;)

If your comment mysteriously disappeared from Neatorama and other Wordpress blogs, this is usually due to the WordPress anti-spam service Akismet mistakenly tagging your comment as spam.

Fortunately, Akismet is pretty good at distinguishing real comments from spam. False positives are exceedingly rare.

Unfortunately, there is no easy way to tell Akismet that your comment is legit.

The double whammy is that once Akismet tags your username as spam, then all of your comments will disappear across the entire WordPress-powered blogosphere (that use Akismet, and that's pretty much all WP blogs).

Sorry for being the bearer of bad news :(

PS: I first made the above comment with another nickname. It didn't get published. (No error message whatsoever.)

I posted the exact same comment again (copy pasted from notepad) and got the message:
"Duplicate comment detected; it looks as though you’ve already said that!"

So wordpress received the original comment but "disappeared" it. I don't see how this could be anything else but a wordpress issue.

From then on the only way to avoid the 'duplicate comment' from being triggered is to post with a different nickname.

@ezpzvi: If Mitt Romney would have been a democrat they would have posted this as well.

I don't think this is about left vs right or republican vs democrat, this is about making fun of stupidity.

Of course one could argue that only republicans have idiots like Mitt Romney in their ranks, but that's your problem. And I didn't say that.

Why is it illogical to expect that if a website willingly participates in criticism (never praise) of the Right that they should try being fair and criticize the Left, too?

It's such a pain...I just want to relax and read a few posts on a site like Neatorama and bam, you have some post mocking or bashing the Right. Why?

Buzzfeed is already so Left-leaning, it's no longer any fun to go there. We don't need more sites to bash the Right, believe me.

We speak up in the comments here because we really don't want to see Neatorama go off in the same direction. That's all.

If I want Right bashing, I'll go to websites that do that. And there are already plenty! Please, Neatorama, stay neutral.
