Update: the exact purpose for the item in question was never actually verified, but Rob at the What Is It? blog thinks it might be "a form for a medicine ball." Since we don't know for sure, we are awarding t-shirts for the TWO funniest answers this week. One came from meiao, who said it’s the ball for Mortal Tetherball.
