@Alisa and bradbury: How do we know what software they used? It could be very likely that this design company used something design specifically to do body or clothing touch-ups. A more specialized software might be more desirable to streamline what they do, or it might in all likely-hood be cheaper...

How is that possible? The checkerboard pattern represent an Alpha channel in Photoshop, which when exported would become just white. The only way there would still be the checkers is if someone just took a screenshot. I call fake. It's just a marketing scheme to get attention - and it worked!

I imagine some enterprising beautician is working on the checkerboard hair job as we speak. It'll be $1000 per procedure and require constant touch-ups to re-square the blocks.
