Cat Inherits €10,000,000 Fortune

Tommaso grew up as a stray cat on the hard streets of Rome. But he's come up in the world and, with the death of his human, has inherited an enormous sum:

Since the death of his 94-year-old mistress last month, he has become a property magnate — or perhaps mognate — with flats and houses worth an estimated €10m scattered from Milan in the north to Calabria in the south.

In a handwritten will, signed on 26 November, 2009, Tommaso's mistress — the childless widow of a successful builder — gave her lawyers the task of identifying "the animal welfare body or association to which to leave the inheritance and the task of looking after the cat Tommaso".

Wow, this is sick. No donations to charity, all of the 10m euro goes to a perfectly healthy cat? I'm surprised this is the decision of a 94 year old. It sounds like something a 4 year old would want to do.

A 94 year old and a 4 year old are possibly not too different. ;)

At least she realized all her money was no good to her when she was dead. But yeah, giving it to a cat? That's like giving the finger to f*cking everybody. (And I like cats.)

At the rate the euro is dropping, in another couple months that will be just about enough funny money to buy a can of cat food. Hey Soros... how's that whole currency hedging thing working out for you these days? XD
