Denver Airport Flash Mob

YouTube link.

Holiday travelers passing through Denver International Airport last week were treated to a selection of Swing classics by about 100 dancers from the non-profit organization Community-Minded Dance.  The performance had been coordinated by the airport's Art and Culture Program.

Is there a better term to use than "treated" when referencing the effect flash mob morons have on the real human beings around them? Like "subjected" or maybe even "tortured"?

I see a flash mob and the first thing that springs to mind is: grasp spoon, thumb clip, pull pin, prepare to throw. Grazing herd animals have more self-respect and sense of identity than those flash mob idiots.

The original flash mobs were sometimes thrown out of the places they were holding them. So I expect flash mobs to be somewhat anti authority. The fact that they were not authorized was part of the charm.

So this one is not in the original spirit, but I can live with it. I wonder though how long it will take before marketeers take over this business completely and we see "flash mobs" for coca cola or something. In the end everything get's corrupted by marketing and consumerism.

Too late. This is already marketing, organized by the airport's Art and Culture Program. Because every airport needs an art and culture program.

Very nice video.

Just two days before the Denver Airport Flash mob dance, Mumbai too had a flash mob dance at Mumbai's VT (CST) Station .

Mumbai CST station is one of the busiest train stations in the world.

It was the airport's collaboration that made it cool, yeah it would have held more clout had it not been for the airport, but hey, Denver saw a cool opportunity and took it. I find no fault in that.
