Vincent Van Gogh's Scary Night

Well, Starry Night isn't scary, but this version from the Museum of Modern Art in New York City is certainly beautiful. I wonder what Van Gogh would think if he knew that this painting would become a major pop culture icon.

@RyanS just because van Gogh had little impact upon you doesn't mean he had little impact on others. He is acknowledges as probably the most influential single artist of all time, and you don't get a much bigger impact than that. If you can't see beyond the pretty colours then I pity you, but don't tar us all with the same brush.

In answer to the question of what van Gogh would think, well I'm sure he'd be flattered. But since he was very much an originator I doubt he'd be impressed by the work. I'm sure he would rather that people were inspired by his work to create something truly original of their own.
