What Is It? game 167

It's time for our collaboration with the always amusing What Is It? Blog. Can you guess what this mysterious item is?

Place your guess in the comment section below. One guess per comment, please, though you can enter as many as you'd like. Post no URLs or weblinks, as doing so will forfeit your entry. Two winners: the first correct guess and the funniest (albeit ultimately wrong) guess will win T-shirt from the NeatoShop.

Please write your T-shirt selection alongside your guess. If you don't include a selection, you forfeit the prize, okay? May we suggest the Science T-Shirt, Funny T-Shirt and Artist-Designed T-Shirts?

For more clues, check out the What Is It? Blog. Good luck!

Update: Several of the over 100 guesses were correct, but Twist was the first to say it is
a device used for making lots of holes before sowing seeds -it's called a "dibble board." See a couple more pictures here. The award for the funniest answer goes to artsnarf, who says this is Gojira's (Godzilla's) toothbrush! Both win t-shirts from the NeatoShop.

This device was designed for killing multiple midget-vampires. It is particularly useful if the midget vampires have all had military training and line up in perfect regimental order

It's a bear mat, if I recall correctly. Placed in front of doors in the mountains, it keeps the wildlife from getting too close.

Its a HOMEMADE BEAR MAT. You put them on the ground outside underneath your windows at a an unattended cabin so the bears do go rummaging thru your cabin looking for food. When you go to your cabin you flip them over, spike down.

Some guys use nails, but this guy was patient and widdled small sticks for the spikes.

See these alot in remote fishing camps in northern Canada.

Johnny Appleseed had a little cousin that really looked up to him. His name was Joey Greenlawn, he would travel through the countryside carrying his shield/lawn aerator, telling all who would listen about fertilizer, lawn aeration and turf tall fescue. Why, its a national treasure.

It's one replica section of ancient anti-Hutt ground paneling, which was used around Jawa encampments in a crude effort to fend off the Hutts' voracious appetite from decimating the Jawa population.

It's definitely used for lawn aeration, called a core aerator or lawn plug aerator. The tool is on a lawn, dead giveaway!!! Doing this to your lawn helps the roots from not clumping, and keeps your lawn healthy.

I love the Hydrogen Bondage tee, in a medium!

It's definitely a type of shield used when there are mass vampire attacks. Vampires will run towards you to try to suck your blood and are impaled on the shield.

This was a concept toy for whammo . Named the "Slip and Shred". Focus groups concluded kids got bored with it too easily since it was not dangerous enough.

It is the only surviving example of the first attempt to implement a braille - Newspaper..

It was developed before the invention of paper so instead of paper it is made of a thin slice of wood...

It had only a sinlge page as in acient time not much happend...

The Dots of the braille script have been very massive as in acient times the finter tips wherent sensual enough for today's braille characters/dots...

Finally the braille newspaper has been developed before a fully fledged braille script was available.. so it used only a single character, as at this time only a single character "all dots" has been developed..

Every begining is hard and the first step to a fully fledged set of symbols has been a long way. But the end in form of Braille-Terminals shows that it has been worth the way and the start.
