I never stopped to think about the work that goes into handcrafting candles. This Dutch Garden candle takes time and skill to make and sells for about $40.00. I'd almost hate to burn it.

I seriously don't understand why the Americans dub over the Canadian narrator on How it's Made....we don't dub over your narrators.

That reminds me of the French doubling Quebecer TV shows. Pointless and rude.

But back on topic, this is simply amazing! The amount of skill required is immense... I wonder how many candles she had to waste before managing to make a perfect one.

Tacky as anything. I wouldn't want this anywhere in my house. It looks like it would go well next to a unicorn snow globe, black light posters, and tiedye beanbag furniture.
There was skill in the making of the candle though, and I give a head nod to that... but the rest... yeesh.

Ok, I admit that the candle she made was pretty tacky.

But I don't agree that carved candles are tacky as a rule. Baroque and lush, yes, but not necessarily tacky.
