The Size of Web Empires

Webempire is a tool that imagines what websites would look like if their traffic reflected their populations. Neatorama would be the same size as Malta, and could fill the Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin five times. Of course, we already have our own island.

I couldn't find any explanation of what your statistics mean on your website. For example, if a website has size of "1000 visitors" what does that mean? 1000 per day? 1000 per week? Unique or not unique? Do you have a way to filter out and not count random spam bots trying to sign up and post messages on bulletin boards?

...and to finish...
Texas Stadium is that stadium in Irving, with a big hole in the middle, that was blown up in April. The former home of the Dallas Cowboys.
