This video shows a carpenter at a home building project slicing a 2X4 in two simply by throwing a circular saw blade at it. Don’t try this at home.

    OMG! So not fake! I have a friend in Richmond who is building a house using this technique. He’s also growing a garden of corn so high, almost to an elephant’s eye, so he and his lady can get busy in the back yard.

    I hardly think we need comments about how fake that is, do we?

    If you’re going to do a fake video, at least get some people who can act.

    Yes, we all can guess it’s fake, but to be honest, I was amused. The slow-mo at the end did make me stop for a sec, since slow-mo usually kills most fakes. My biggest complaint is that he made the cut too close to the actual line, it would have been better if it had been off, or croaked in some way.

    The bad acting is a dead give away. I second the previous post. Please don’t post obvious fakes on a good blog.

    I agree with joe2 and Rob: don’t cheapen Neatorama with stuff like this, or you might lose readers.

    when are people going to learn how to fake a video? oy

    I don’t understand why these viral marketers have such a hard time making a decent fake. All you have to do is pretend it’s real.

    1) Use a cheap camera like everyone else instead of high quality, super expensive TV equipment.

    2) Don’t add any sound effects.

    3) Most of all; WHY WOULD YOU MIC. EVERYONE IN THE SHOT?!?!? That never happens in spur-of-the-moment, real videos!!!

    Or for those who aren’t idiots, SAWDUST.

    Up next, a man uses kittens as a blasting agent; says he was inspired by a video “where a guy uses toilet paper rolls and candles to launch a 300 lb satellite into orbit”

    It’s unfortunate how a fake lame video can get so much attention while a great deal of other decent posts go uncommented on. Right now I’m regretting the fact I’m leaving a comment, but I figured it had to be said.

    @Brock_Lee

    You might as well ask why those Mentos commercials were so bad. It’s a marketing technique, and you have proven it works.

    this video would win one of neatos bubble fill contests.
