Residents of Lustful Court Want to Change the Name of Their Street

There's a street in Macon, Georgia that's named "Lustful Court". Residents are tired of the jokes they hear and want to change it:

Michelle Washington, a resident of Lustful Court, Macon, says the name sparks laughter and confusion when she tells people where she lives.

After listening to residents, commissioners decided they'll consider the change if neighbours start a petition. No one could recall where the name originated.

In related news, a teenager was suspended from Xbox Live because he listed the real name of town in which he lives: Fort Gay, West Virginia.

On a related note: the Austrian town of Fucking uses heavy concrete fundaments to secure its traffic signs from frequent theft.

In the Conisbrough, England residents of Butt Hole Road recently had the name changed to Archers Way. Shame. It always used to make me smile as I drove past. Happilly it still shows up under it's original name in Google maps.

Not far away in Sheffield is the road Letsby Avenue, where the police helicopter is based. Brits will get the joke, maybe not so much in the rest of the world.

I remember hearing that after Lewis Hamilton won the F1 world championship his home town wanted to name a street after him. They were going to call it Hamilton Road until someone wrote into the local paper to say that "surely Hamilton Drive would be more appropriate". :)
