Post-apocalyptic Tokyo Scenery

By Miss Cellania in Art on Aug 25, 2010 at 8:59 am

Artist TokyoGenso illustrates the city of Tokyo as it would appear after humans have been wiped out. Mother Nature gradually moves in, takes over, and tears the evidence of civilization apart. This picture depicts Haneda Airport; see more at Pink Tentacle. Link -Thanks, Marilyn Terrell!

We seem to see a lot of these. Why do artists hate civilization?

Wonderful Images. I don’t think these artists hate civilization. They are fascinated by what things might look like.

Chernobyl in Russia, is a great real-life example of what things look like when nature takes over a city.

Since the citizens had to abandon the city on a moments notice, you get a rare view of what this would look like. There are lots of sources for this, and some TV programs.

Why is there a waterfall pouring out of one of the engines?
