Stephen Fry's New Show to be Driven by his Twitter Fans

Stephen Fry, the amiable and quick witted British actor, comedian and raconteur has come up with a cunning plan.  His next shows in September will be unscripted.  Instead he will rely on his Twitter followers to suggest the subject matter on the night.  Risky business perhaps - but he does have over one and a half million of them!

So, starting on 20 September, Fry will be exhorting his twitter followers to provide him with immediate suggestions of subjects upon which he can wax lyrical. He has promised that anything goes - from whimsy (which he does well) to more serious subjects like the bipolar disorder with which he lives.

Seems it's a lot about HIM HIM HIM these days. He's interesting enough, but am not sure that just watching someone be interesting is entertainment.

He was on ''Bones'' and totally unconvincing as some sort of shrink. And his show in the UK, ''Wisdom'' was so lame after the 1st 2 episodes, I couldn't bear to watch anymore. And his show where he visited America...well, it was very so-so at best. He did do ''Who Do You Think You Are?'' and that was quite good but only because his family has an interesting and sad history.

He needs to get some solid writing to back up his talent.
