Outhouse vent. It goes on the outside wall of the outhouse, usually about four inches from the roofline, It can be located on the side, but is normally on the back wall. The circular ent is mounted on the wall, while the oval end is pointed upwards over the roof. It purpose is to vent the outhouse, allowing fumes to escape and fresh air to enter.
