Samurai Wars: Star Wars in Edo Japan





What would Star Wars look like if instead of in a galaxy far, Far away, it took place in Edo-period Japan? High school history and film teacher by day and custom figure maker extraordinaire Sillof (previously on Neatorama) created this set of action figures titled "Samurai Wars."

Note: Star Wars fans may note that it's a fitting tribute as George Lucas has acknowledged that Star Wars was partially inspired by the 1958 film The Hidden Fortress by Akira Kurosawa.
