TV Hat

No matter where you are or what you are supposed to be doing, you can be watching TV! Block out everyone around you and stay in your own little world with the TV Hat! Now there's no reason to ever turn away from your personal video experience, whether you are at work, in your car, or at the beach! As a commenter at Metafilter said, "a feed bag for your eyes"! https://www.trytvhat.com/flare/next?etag=asotv -via Metafilter

I want to steal someone's stuff. Now who is sticking out like a sore thumb, with something stupid on their head, and obviously distracted?
...hmm...hmmm...

Seriously dumb.

Are white sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters just getting on your nerves?

Are you sick and tired of watching exotic, beautiful, scantily-clad people stroll by hour after hour?

Would you rather be watching reruns of "Who's the Boss?"

Then, have we got a product for you!

I can't imagine wearing this at the beach, or in a car for that matter (think of the bumps!) However, 15 years ago, I burned the back of my leg off and needed a skin graft. I couldn't get out of bed for a month. I also slipped a disc a few years ago, and again, was bedridden for weeks. I own a low-resolution lcd projector and was able to project movies on the ceiling above my head so I could watch them comfortably, either by myself or with well wishers (who lay on the floor.) Having been through that, if I ever knew someone who was bedridden, I'm sure this would be a great comfort to them.

I use TV Hat to watch Major League Baseball on my porch,
on the Airline to watch movies, as a diet aid by watching a movie I made with my webcam telling myself not to eat as much (lost 10 lbs without effort), and in bed to watch TV like Legend of the Seeker and Monk.
Most places I don't worry about thieves and muggers, but if I was in that situation I wouldn't use the hat. No one has said anything so far except "where can I buy one." Like many pieces of gear, what appears at first glance to be outlandish can be marvelous and practical after you use it.
It is definitely less creepy than many of the blogger's comments.
