This is pretty accurate except for the move from Nostalgic to Conservative. That step seems forced in order to make the circle complete. Well, maybe not (I say as I type in my Converse Chucks.)

i've come to the conclusion that everyone between the age of 19 and 30 is a hipster these days. the only people who aren't are those that don't listen to some form of underground music- but the term "underground" is very subjective. i think this is why hipsters get in fights. over how underground and thusly original the other is.

I'm foreign (ie not American) and don't really understand what is meant by 'hipster' - Can anyone tell me whereabouts on that graph represents what is meant by hipsters?

The Outsider to Precipice stage is what fascinates me. If I sported a goofy hat or accessory, people would think:

Doesn't she know how stupid that looks?

or

She must really want attention. Geez!

Yet I can think of a few people who, if spotted wearing the same thing, would make people think

That's pretty clever! Why didn't I think of that? or That's what I like about her. She lives by her own rules!
