Dog Surprises Police Officer - Neatorama

Plattsburg, Missouri police officer Nick Shepherd responded to a call for help involving a dog stuck in a fence. The wire was twisted, and Shepherd cut the fencing to free the dog. While I guess what had happened by the time he starting going around the house, the dog's expression made me laugh out loud. Cute! (Though the 30 seconds of shaky-cam almost ended it for me).

I'm surprised there aren't more comments... this is awesome. Nick Shepherd sounds like a great guy. His job isn't an easy one, so even nice people in it might sound world-weary or bitchy. He keeps his cool and his compassion. The internet being what it is, he deserves some marriage proposals at least.

The dog in the video was reunited to his owner within hours of being rescued. He suffered no injuries from his ordeal and was good friends with Officer Sheppard from that day forward.
