Vintage Lunchbox Parade

Woody Woodpecker is just one of the over 100 vintage lunchboxes in this collection. Which one did you carry (or covet) as a kid? See them all at The Jailbreak.

People who collect this sort of stuff are awesome.
Thank you hoarders, for buying my ebay crap.
Without you, I'd have nobody to sell this overpriced "vintage" stuff to.

My most memorable metal lunchbox was the Close Encounters of the Third Kind model. Everyone envied it at that bizarre ritual of eating lunch with other people showing off their boxes. Devil's Tower FTW.

I had many many of these. Why so many? Well, after lunch, we were supposed to take out lunchboxes and leave them by the door before we went outside for recess. Well, we had to go down stairs first and my friends and I would throw our lunchboxes down the stairs to see who could get theirs to stop closest to the door. As you can imagine this resulted in many busted lunchboxes and matching thermos(es?) thermi?

I was one of three girls so I had hand me downs for a while. I remember a red plaid one and the Beverly Hillbillies. When I finally got to get one of my own I chose Charlie Brown. It was around 1966/67.
