Bird Photography – Mark Hancox

In honor of Spring, check out Mark Hancox and his impressive spread of bird photos. The series of shots like the one above were accomplished in the same challenging manner as those artists that filmed the BBC/Discovery series, “Life.” Mark actually spent a month in a hide. He eventually got this exquisite shot of a nuthatch having a drink.

Having always had an interest in birds I took up photography about three years ago, hoping to reproduce the beauty I was seeing in my binoculars .

All of Mark’s photographs of birds are delightful and worth a look.

    At first I thought the picture of the nuthatch was photoshopped, because it looks like the photographer just flipped the picture of the bird. But it’s real. Wow indeed.
