Chook the Lyrebird

(YouTube link)

You might recall Sir David Attenborough introducing us to the lyrebird, a master of mimcry (and later the wonderful remix). Chook the lyrebird lives at the Adelaide Zoo. After a period of construction at the zoo, Chook was able to recreate the sounds of hammers, saws, and power tools exactly. Link -via Arbroath

Very cool! So weird how they can mimic the sounds almost perfectly.
Told the husband they need to play it roaring noises to add to its arsenal heh.

Or maybe the Joshua factor goes much deeper. Maybe Joshua was the reason for the tape in the first place; ya never know with these guys named Joshua. Maybe the bird's actually a stool pigeon. [darts down the alleyway]

Reminds me of when I lived in Phoenix. I'd regularly hear birds that could imitate car alarms. Not just the sound of the alarm, but the entire sequence the alarm goes through, in appropriate order.
