The Invisible Rope Prank

Pranksters Dan Podosek and Yuki Palermo like to pretend to hold a rope across walkways and roadways to see who will stop rather than break the invisible (and non-existent) rope. Here’s their Christmas video, shot at a snowy road and a shopping mall. There are more videos at the link.

That was rather amusing! I think the two car scenes were probably the funniest. The one who stopped and honked at them had me almost on the floor laughing, and I can imagine how stupid the driver must have felt when the truck just went right past in the other direction, and I loved the other car speeding up after “breaking” the rope.

With the mall it seems most of the shoppers were amused and played along. Looks like these guys had fun!

Now they should give people a few days to get used to them and then switch to a real rope.

Causing unnecessary braking on a snowy road probably isn’t the best idea, though.

I think most of the people stopping in the mall were just trying to figure out what the two nuts were doing.

I love that mentality of when a driver gets p*ssed at something they just put their foot down and floor it, because they think that makes them look above it all.

    Hilarious.

And to think that we make fun of the dogs who won’t go outside because they think there is still glass in the door.

I may be flamed for saying this, but I really do think those two guys have had it wrong when it comes to explaining why people paused to look at such a prank – people were actually stopping to look at Dan and Yuki’s bizarre stance rather than something quite obviously non-existent . . .

The honking though is completely unecessary on the driver’s part.
