Hey Jill...it was indeed very real! We had 6 mics set up in the room. Two right up the middle (one just beneath the camera, and one near the ground for low frequencies), two "overheads" that were equally spaced to the left and right of the camera, and two more "room" mics...even further away from the camera. Also, these were nice mics running through nice preamps (API 512cs) and recorded into Pro Tools. So yes, great sound AND no microphones in sight! If you go to our website, click the "photos" tab and look at the fourth picture down...here you can see the positioning of the overhead and room mics on one of the sides (and can also barely see our bass mic on the very left side of the picture).

Still a god idea though.
