VCR Toaster

By John Farrier in Gadget on Nov 29, 2009 at 3:46 pm

Inspired by this scene from the BBC show The Young Ones, the how-to blog Instructables turned an old VCR into a functional toaster. It even prints “VHS” on the face of every piece of bread toasted. Video at the link.

It's a shame that VHS toasters have dominated the marketplace. Anyone who's ever eaten Beta toast knows that it tastes much better.

It should 'print' something like "Top Gun". Or how about different settings, each print a top movie of the 1980s?

I hear the Japanese are working on a smaller toaster that spins the bread as it cooks. :p
