Howard, the kitten whose front paws were amputated after an assumed encounter with farm machinery, has a home. The kitten was adopted by the family of Kyle and Bryce Billingslea, the two boys who originally found the kitten in a ditch and sought help for his injuries. A video from the Lansing State Journal shows Howard adjusting well to house cat life. Link -via Arbroath
I have rescued cats and had many pet cats and am a lifelong cat person. And I am going to go ahead and say it: At least the family wont have to worry about kitty scratching up their furniture.
Very sweet video though. Good to see that the cat is adjusting and it has a very loving home now. Yay for those 2 boys for finding it and doing the right thing :)
We just adopted a kitty who had to have a back leg amputated due to an accident. He gets around quite well and is a real snuggle bunny. I have family who adopted a dog that had a bad leg and only one eye. Bessie just keeps on going! I think animals with disabilities just don't know it's "supposed" to slow them down. They just keep going.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
