I remembered details I hadn't thought about in decades. b.t.w. Was I the only 1970s kid who found the switch of illustrators in the books jarring? Up until <i>Ramona the Pest</i> they were drawn as tight pen and inks. Then they switched to a more loose, contemporary illustrations. As a kid this really bugged me. I got all of them except for who plays the dad in the upcoming movie. I remembered details I hadn’t thought about in decades.
