ALS sucks. I had met people during my volunteering at hospitals and seeing them struggle trying to be understood always tore me up. I’m just happy to see a possible way to communicate being created.

The Eyewriter is awesome and open sourcing is kick ass!

No, it can’t overcome ALS in terms of suckage. But watching my dad die of ALS, I can say that anything that gives the sufferer an outlet is a good thing.

I don’t care how cool it is, it can’t overcome the epic suck that is Lou Gehrig’s disease. What a shit way to die.

Incidentally, the two people I know who died of the disease were both around paint quite a bit, one being a painting contractor and the other a residential landlord.
