Oli Lemieux Cirque du Soleil Practice

By Johnny Cat in Sports, Video Clips on Nov 13, 2009 at 4:31 pm

Montreal acrobat and Cirque du Soleil performer Oli Lemieux amazes in this practice video.  This makes me want to see another show of theirs, and soon!  From Asylum~

While most of us are content to bounce up and down (and occasionally fall off and break a leg), when you put Oli on a trampoline he leaves physics behind him. The man runs up walls and bends gravity in whichever direction is appropriate to make backflipping off ledges look effortless.

The routines practiced are for the current show, Dralion.

I was lucky 3 times to see the Cirque’ at Downtown Disney. They have a wall act that was/is amazing.
The power of the entire show amazed me. Stirred me to the bone.

Okay, Earth people can’t do that!
I’m wondering how Cirque du Soleil manages to recruit off-planet, what with the sorry state of manned spaceflight currently. ;o)

Too bad the music was so vulgar. I stopped watching after the “bitch put a squeeze on his dick”.

Very hard to do, I imagine, but the guy seemed a little full of himself.

I’ve seen this live and even then, it looks like CGI trickery. But it’s real and heart-stopping!!

    lol, Tim.

    I understand completely now. Thanks!

In that case, he was kinda understated.

More enjoyable after I muted the music, but still spellbinding. Did anyone else notice that beneath the trampolines was just a cement floor with occasional mats scattered around? If he’d missed just once…!
